Steps to Create an Account

2. Enter your email address
3. Create a secure password
4. Verify your email
5. Complete your profile

Once registered, you'll have immediate access to all free tools and can upgrade to Pro at any time.

Connecting Your Google Account

Connecting your Google account unlocks powerful SEO insights from Search Console and Analytics.

Before You Start

• You need a Google account with access to Search Console
• Your website must be verified in Google Search Console
• For analytics, you need a Google Analytics 4 property

How to Connect

1. Go to Settings > Connections in your dashboard
2. Click the "Connect Google Account" button
3. Sign in with your Google account
4. Review and accept the permissions requested
5. You'll be redirected back to Astra Rank

Permissions We Request

• Search Console: Read-only access to view your search performance data
• Google Analytics: Read-only access to view traffic and engagement data

We never modify your data or settings. All access is read-only.

Troubleshooting

• No sites showing? Make sure you're signed into the Google account that owns or has access to your Search Console properties.
• Permission denied? You need at least "Full" permission level in Search Console.
• Connection failed? Try disconnecting and reconnecting, or clear your browser cookies.

Finding Your GA4 Property ID

To connect Google Analytics data, you need your GA4 Property ID. Here's how to find it.

What is a GA4 Property ID?

It looks like properties/123456789 and uniquely identifies your Analytics property.

How to Find Your Property ID

1. Go to Google Analytics
2. Click the gear icon (Admin) in the bottom left
3. In the Property column, click Property Settings
4. Your Property ID is shown at the top (e.g., "123456789")
5. In Astra Rank, enter it as properties/123456789

Don't Have GA4 Yet?

If you're still using Universal Analytics (UA), you need to create a GA4 property:

1. In Google Analytics Admin, click "+ Create Property"
2. Enter your website name and details
3. Set up a Web data stream for your site
4. Add the GA4 tracking code to your website

Multiple Properties?

If you have multiple GA4 properties, choose the one that matches the website you're connecting in Astra Rank. The property name usually includes your website name.

Connecting Google Search Console

Connecting Google Search Console unlocks powerful insights about your actual search performance.

How to Connect

1. Go to Settings in your dashboard
2. Click "Connect Google Account"
3. Sign in with your Google account
4. Grant permission to access Search Console
5. Select the properties you want to connect

Note: You must have owner or full access to the Search Console property.
